The dogs at the KAR Rescue Centre are sad and bored. They need you to make them some toys and playthings. Plastic bottles, old rags/socks tied in a knot, unwanted soft toys are just a few ideas. The recent International Animal Welfare Conference which took place in Istanbul recently, with delegates from twenty seven countries, provided some very interesting facts on animal care globally. KAR is calling for help from cat lovers

Help needed at KAR’s rescue centre.  The call from KAR is made to all cat lovers. “Are you a cat lover and can spare between 1 and 3 days a week? If so, we urgently need volunteers to work with the cats at the rescue centre. Working hours are between 8am and 4pm and full training will be given. Seven year old ‘Junior’ was in a bad way, and needed an urgent blood transfusion. Help was at hand, and thanks to ‘Turner’, Junior is now doing well and once again enjoying life.
