Demands for Confidence Building Measures – a two way flow?
While South Nicosia pushes on all fronts for the return of the fenced-off part of Famagusta and President Anastasiades continually uses it as a spearhead for the Republic of Cyprus’s [RoC] demand for Confidence Building Measures [CBMs] policy, they have offered little encouragement to giving positive offers to the TRNC. |

Spot the sign!
'You only need to take a 15 minute drive around any main city here in Cyprus and within minutes you will notice the 1000’s of ugly and crowded signage polluting our cities and countryside landscapes.

These signs are usually oversized and cluttered business shop signs that seem to be competing with one another; whose sign is to be the larger and brighter, and at country roadsides you are bound to notice faded billboards with badly structured frames leading to wind damage and then just left to rot in the rain. Surely they must be hazardous just lying on the side of the motorway like that!
