There was a signing by the author Yvonne Cerkez at Stevie's Bar, Kucuk Erenkoy on Monday 25th August, during the lunch period. Unfortunately many who would have attended were unable to do so and to those comes the good news that there will be further opportunities to acquire this insight into the life of R.R. Denkitash. Firstly, Altan Hussein, who is acting as an agent for this book, states there may be an opportunity shortly at the Grapevine Restaurant in Kyrenia, plus an official launch at the Deniz Kizi Royale at Alsancak.
In addition, the Dogankoy Community Association has announced there will be another opportunity to meet the author and purchase a signed copy some time in November. The date is not yet fixed, but Paula Shirley, spokesperson for the DGA said "I am pleased to be able to tell you that Yvonne will be at Dogankoy church presenting her book during an art exhibition. This will take place in November, date to be agreed, so watch this space!!"
The signing went very well and attended by people from all over Cyprus including soon to launch his book, Willy Lindt! Paperbacks were on display and many orders have been taken for the hardcovers which will be launched at the Deniz Kızı Royalé at 6pm on Friday, 5th September.

As a taster to the content of this publication, Altan Hussein gives an overview of the book which is a 'must' for any lover of Northern Cyprus and admirer of all that Founder President Denktash did for the people and country he loved so much.
He reveals "Included in his portrait are certain revelations that have never been published before such as details of how the UN and EU attempted to dupe him into signing agreements that were far behind what the 1960 Constitution of the Republic of Cyprus provided for and which he identifies as the 'Copenhagen Files', and goes on to say how the citation for the nomination of the Nobel Peace Prize is quoted by Lord Ken Maginnis of Drumglass in the Preface.

Further comments on the book are "All this aside, his humorous and anecdotal story telling captures the imagination of all ages without the usual blame game." And "Highly recommended, this biography was intended to be educational, and is a must on the bookshelves of all households, public libraries, schools and universities."
As Altan Hussein maintains this is a great gift for family and friends, and with a reminder that not only are there birthdays forever looming, but Christmas is not too far away.
The cost of the book in paperback is £9.99 and orders for hardcovers can be taken by request and are priced at £22.00 (plenty of time to order for Christmas!)
